Has Manulife Stopped Paying You Long Term Disability Benefits Because You Didn’t Complete Its Rehab or Return to Work Plan?

Has this just happened to you? You are unable to work due to a disability such as stress, anxiety, depression, phobia, headaches or pain. You apply to Manulife for disability insurance benefits. You send in your application and a physician statement from your doctor. Manulife then tells you to go to a rehab program where you are pressured to return to work but you can’t. You are fed up with the pressure from both your case manager at Manulife and the rehab or vocational counsellor and can’t take it anymore. You get a call or letter from Manulife denying your disability claim on the basis that you didn’t complete the program.

They may still stop paying you even if your doctor states that Manulife’s rehab or return to work plan is detrimental to your health and recovery and that is wrong. You feel helpless.

Manulife may invite you to participate in their internal appeal process and will give you a deadline to do this. You are frustrated and tired of dealing with them. You are having a hard enough time dealing with your pain and stress. WE WILL HELP YOU.

We do not recommend that you delay by participating in Manulife’s internal appeal process. Think about it. Do they really expect you to believe that one claims examiner is going to overrule their colleague?

We will help you by advancing your claim quickly and effectively. We will prepare a medical brief with opinions that address the disability test set out in Manulife’s disability insurance policy. We will start your law suit quickly and move to resolve your case early through a mediation process.
