Did Sun Life Say that there is Not Enough Medical Evidence to Support Your Disability Insurance Claim?

Has this happened to you?  You are unable to work due to a disability such as stress, anxiety, headaches, depression or pain.  You apply to Sun Life for disability insurance benefits.  You send in your application and a physician statement from your family doctor.  You get a call or letter from Sun Life denying your disability claim on the basis that there isn't enough medical evidence and therefore you don’t meet the test for disability as set out in the Sun Life insurance policy.

Sun Life will ask you to participate in their internal appeal process and will give you a deadline to do this.  You are fed up and exhausted from dealing with them.  You are having a hard enough time dealing with your pain and anxiety.  WE WILL HELP YOU.

We do not recommend that you delay by participating in Sun Life’s internal appeal process.  Do they really expect you to believe that one claims examiner is going to overrule their colleague?

We will help you by advancing your claim quickly and forcefully. We will prepare a medical brief with opinions that address the disability test set out in Sun Life's  disability insurance policy.  We will start your law suit quickly and move to resolve your case early through a mediation process.

If you have been denied short term or long term disability benefits by Sun Life or another disability insurance company you are no doubt feeling fatigued by the process.  At Kotak Law we are committed to helping people access the disability benefits they have been denied and we understand your frustration with your disability insurance company.
